The department is responsible for a wide range of essential services, including reviewing building plans, issuing permits, and conducting inspections of new construction and renovations to ensure structural integrity and fire safety. Beyond the construction site, code enforcement officers investigate property maintenance complaints, manage flood damage prevention regulations, and ensure that land use aligns with the Town's comprehensive plan and zoning maps.
