Zoning Board of Appeals

The Town of Ellicottville Zoning Board of Appeals is a five-member board and acts a quasi-judicial body that reviews applications for variances and interpretations when a property owner's plans don't perfectly align with local zoning laws.

​The Board meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6 PM, at the Ellicottville Town Center, 28 Parkside Drive, Ellicottville, NY 14731.  The submission deadline for Zoning Board of Appeals applications is 3 weeks prior to the Board meeting.  Late or incomplete submissions will be reviewed the following month.  A complete submission includes a Zoning Permit first denied by the Zoning Official for failure to comply with the Town's Zoning Laws.

Board Members do not keep office hours.  All zoning, development and board review matters are managed directly through the Planning Department.  If you have an item for the Board's attention, please contact the Planning Department to get started.
